Research and Professional Experience

My collaborations have included work with the faculty of the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and the School of Nursing on studies of the effect of depression on incidence of angina, and of the efficacy of educational interventions on quality of life among rural school children with asthma. I am also collaborating on a study of air pollution and mortality led by Francesca Dominici, which applies Poisson regression and Bayesian hierarchical modeling methodologies to estimate county-specific, regional, and national relative rates of hospital admissions for several cardiovascular and respiratory outcomes associated with short-term exposure to fine particles.
