Research and Professional Experience

My interests are in humane science, the use of animals and the 3Rs (refinement, reduction and replacement) of animals in biomedical sciences, toxicology, and risk assesment. Research activities include the incorporation of in vitro and refinement alternatives in risk assesment and regulatory toxicology. Additionally, policy issues associated with animal use are intergral to these activities. For full details visit Center for Alternatives to Animal Testing (http://caat.jhsph.edu).

For education in humane science, see Enhancing Humane Science course available on the CAAT website.
