Research and Professional Experience

1) Developing statistical methods that are useful to detect genetic linkage when there is heterogeneity among studies' families.

2) Developing statistical models and methods for multivariate survival data. This occurs frequently in genetic epidemiologic studies where the association between familial risks and proband's characteristics (such as age of onset of the disease) is of primary interest.

Keywords

Biostatistics, Epidemiological statistics; foundations of inference; hierarchical models; human genetics; longitudinal data analysis; multivariate analysis; statistical genetics
