Dr. Gaskin's primary research interests are understanding the determinants of access and quality of health services for minority, Medicaid, uninsured, chronically ill and other vulnerable populations, disparities in healthcare and the hospital safety net.  He seeks to understand the role of segregation, market level and other contextual factors on disparities in health and health services use.
