Research and Professional Experience

My research interest is managagement of health systems with a special interest in health systems serving displaced populations.

My particular topic of interest is use of information to: (1) improve quality of health and development programs, and (2) build the competence of health workers and communities to take on increasingly more responsibility for managing health programs that serve them. Availability of methods for data collection, management and analysis---that are appropriate to both the skills and decision needs of persons who will use these methods---is of special concern.
