Over the past 20 years I have worked in health promotion campaigns and programs in a variety of settings, including school, primary care services and at the community level. My main interest focuses in the methodological aspects of health promotion programs, specially design and evaluation.

I also have a a long experience in smoking prevention and control. In this area, I have been involved in several international studies aimed at smoking prevention among youth. In the last few years I have been conducting a European-wide study to assess the prevalence and intensity of exposure to Second Hand Smoke at the workplace and at the hospitality sector. I am also involved in the evaluation of impact of the Spanish ban on smoking.

During the last few years I have become increasingly involved with evaluation of public health interventions effectiveness and impact. I am currently teaching a course on Evaluation at the MPH program of the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona. Currently I am head of a reserach group on this topic in the network of reserarch of the Instituto de Salud Carlos III (CIBER ESP Spain)
