Ms. Spangler began her professional career as a counselor, working with various populations to include refugees from the former Soviet Union. She has been an employee of Johns Hopkins University since 1995, serving in several capacities. She was an International Advisor in the University’s Department of International Services, has managed numerous clinical and educational training programs in the School of Medicine, and has served as the Director of Admissions for the Bloomberg School of Public Health. She thus has significant experience in management, public health professional programs, and international affairs (and international interactions with the School and University).
Ms. Spangler is currently a research associate and Director of Grant and Contract Development for the Department of Environmental Health Sciences at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. In this capacity, she prepares and manages solicitations to international, national, regional, and local governments and foundations to further multidisciplinary research within Environmental Health Sciences.
Ms. Spangler currently manages the NIEHS T32 Training Program for Dr. Valeria Culotta and the NIEHS Center for Urban Environmental Health for Dr. John Groopman.
