Research and Professional Experience

My current research is focused on disease burden/vaccine impact modeling, determining pneumonia etiology, and acceleration of vaccine introduction. I have a continued interest in issues related to infections in pregnancy and maternal and child mortality.

Recent projects include:

-Pneumococcal Global Serotype Project (GSP)

-WHO Hib/Spn Global Burden of Disease Project (GBD)

-Adult Global Estimation of Disease burden and serotype Distribution for serious pneumococcal and meningococcal disease (AGEDD)

-Pneumonia Etiology Research for Child Health (PERCH)

-WHO Child Health Epidemiology Reference Group (CHERG) cause of death estimation
